Sombrero
Written and illustrated by Paul Hoppe
Henry finds a flamboyant red hat in the park and he imagines all the wonderful things the hat could do, like shield him from the sun and even save his life from a nasty crocodile. When his mother points out that someone may be missing the hat, Henry imagines the situations in reverse: a sun-burned face and a man in the belly of a crocodile.
This humorous book teaches empathy, ethics, and decision-making skills.
