While on a school field trip to a marshland, Sandy finds a seemingly empty turtle shell. When she peers inside, she tumbles into the shell and discovers a vibrant museum of the natural world, curated by a turtle named Hicotea. Set in Bogotá—the author- illustrator's hometown—the adventure unfolds, blending fantasy and reality as Sandy interacts with her magical creatures and diverse classmates.
